Prof. Spiridon Cretu, head of the Engineering and Research Department of RKB, has presented his scientific paper “An Elastic-Plastic Analysis of Profile Evolution in Cylindrical Roller Bearings” at the 11th biennial conference on Engineering
Systems Design and Analysis (ESDA) of ASME 2012 in Nantes (France). By proposing a comparison between crowned (ZB) and logarithm profiles, the article addresses the major issue of roller profile as a key element to attain a longer rating life for both cylindrical and tapered roller bearings.
