Interroll reports large follow-up orders received from a leading express and parcel delivery service in North America. These new orders comprise the supply of sorter systems and amount to a double-digit USD million volume. The new orders are an addition to the large orders announced previously in May 2017.
The sorter systems ordered in 2018 will be installed mostly at new facilities, for example at two of the customer’s distribution centers within two of their largest US hubs. Those multi-sorter sites have a matrix configuration providing primary and secondary sorting of parcels. The installations consist of Interroll sorter systems which are equipped with a control system from the cooperation partner Atronix. The main feature of the Interroll crossbelt sorter is the considerable space saving due to a compact, modular design. With a maximum of 72 dBA, this solution, which is unique in the market, is not only quiet, but also cost-effective, ergonomic and low-maintenance.
