Sensor Integrating Machine Elements Congress (SiME Congress) | 19 – 20.09.2024

Sensor Integrating Machine Elements (SiME) refers to the integration of autonomous sensor systems into conventional machine elements such as screws, bearings, gears, seals, and shaft-hub connections. The geometric interfaces of the machine elements are not affected.

The SiME Congress will be held on 19 and 20 September, 2024 and is jointly organized by FVA GmbH, TU München and TU Darmstadt, and the German Research Foundation (DFG). It aims to serve as a bridge between basic research and the industry’s need for innovative solutions for the digitalization of technical processes.

The main topics are:

  • Conceptual design and system integration
  • Energy harvesting and energy balance
  • Design calculations
  • Data transmission
  • Data acquisition
  • Operating strategies
